Ruling the lanes

The Wolves rolled in two wins last week after taking on Troy at Cherry Hill Lanes North on Jan. 9.
The Clarkston Varsity Boys Bowling team won their match, 28-2, improving their record to 4-0. Chris Gemborys had a 223 for the game high.
The boys JV team also improved to 4-0 with a 28-2 win over their visitors. Brock Nowak scored the high game with a 209 game.
The girls varsity team won their match by sweeping all possible points 30-0, bringing them to 2-1-1. Stephanie Lavely had the high game with a 215.
The teams opened the new year against Oxford, Jan. 5.
The boys varsity team beat the Wildcats, 22-8. Gemborys had a 213 and 202 for a 415 game. Eric Wagner shot a 233 and 418 for a 451 series.
The boys JV team won with a score 21-9. Nowak had a 203 game, Anthony Hernandez had a 201 and Carl Meyer had a 200 game.
The Lady Wolves tied, 15-15. The girls were down ten point but fought back to tie the match.
Erika Nowak had a high game of 222 and Stephanie Lavely shot a 214 and 234 for a 448 series.
The teams competed against Troy Athens on Tuesday and will spend the rest of the week preparing for the county meet this weekend.
The Lady Wolves head to Fairlanes Bowl in Madison Heights for their Saturday meet. The boys play at Thunderbird Lanes in Troy on Sunday for their meet.
