Orion Township administrative assistant Julie Savard celebrated her 25th anniversary of working for the township with a breakfast at township hall on Jan. 24. Savard received a gift and said she had enjoyed her time working there. ‘It’s been a fun 25 years,? she said. ‘I’ve enjoyed it.? Savard, who started out working in the clerk’s office and was recruited to the supervisor’s office by former township supervisor JoAnn Van Tassel, has worked for four supervisors: Pictured here, from left, are current supervisor Jerry Dywasuk, Van Tassel, Savard, former supervisor Doug Brown and former supervisor Collette Dywasuk. ‘What a pleasure it is working with Julie,? said current supervisor Dywasuk. ‘The township couldn’t operate without the people that work in this building.? ‘There’s no question of her professionalism,? said Collette Dywasuk. ‘She’s a real treasure for the township.?
