Do you have the most unique hat in Clarkston? Or maybe the cutest dog? Prizes will be awarded to these two winners at this year’s Walk & Roll for SCAMP on May 1 in Depot Park.
Other categories include the youngest walker, oldest walker, best decorated bike, largest family group, the most employees from one location and oldest Walk t-shirt. Dr. Munk and his staff will be the honorary judges for the event.
On that day, the streets of downtown Clarkston will be alive with walkers, bikers and wheel chair participants taking part in Walk & Roll ?05, a family event (with family pets included) featuring 1-mile, 2-mile and 8-mile routes. This annual event is a major fund-raiser for SCAMP, a program that provides a summer camp experience for individuals with special needs.
Clarkston State Bank and other retailers will support the walk by offering mini-Walk shoes for sale at $1 each. Families that want to support the Walk can purchase a lawn sign for a donation of $25 to show that ‘Your Name Here Supports SCAMP!?
Registration runs from 11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Depot Park in downtown Clarkston. All ages are welcome! This is a family event with team participation encouraged. Pet pledge sheets will be accepted.
Pledge sheets for Walk & Roll ?05 will be available at the Clarkston Schools Support Services office. For more information, please call 248-620-1882.
