Clarkston SCAMP hosts Walk & Roll, May 1 in Depot Park, featuring one, two, and five mile routes for walkers, bikers, and wheelchair participants.
The fund-raising event is free, and will include hotdogs, refreshments, and a live D.J., along with Stars & Stripes Kids Activity Center with a portable gymnastics circuit, Planet Kids bounce houses, and Great Turtle Toys’ juggling clinics.
Student walkers who turn in pledges of $50 or more, adults with pledges of $100 or more, and families with pledges of $200 get a T-shirt.
All participants are eligible for a drawing to win a new bike. Prizes will also be awarded to youngest walker, oldest walker, best decorated wheels, bike or wheelchair, and most unique hat. Dr. Charles Munk and staff will be the Honorary Judges for the event.
Clarkston State Bank displays paper kites for a donation of $1 or more. Individuals, families and businesses can also support the WALK by purchasing a lawn sign for a donation of $25 to be displayed on the route.
