At the Dec. 13 Board of Education meeting, approval of course and materials was granted. Deputy Superintendent David Reschke presented the final recommendation for courses to be offered at Clarkston Junior High for the upcoming school year.
Since the Nov. 29 meeting, updates on the technology department and physical education department for grades 8 and 9 have been completed. The eighth grade course offerings will include language arts, math, science, social studies and electives.The electives are performing arts, technology, visual arts, world language, physical education, family and consumer sciences, and other opportunities such as KNEX and support. Also, a semester of health will be required.
Ninth grade course offerings include: language arts, algebra, biology and social studies plus electives. The following electives are available: performing arts, technology, visual arts, world language, communications, aides and a semester of SWEAT, a physical education course. Also, other opportunities for ninth grade include support and student leadership.
