The Clarkston School Board is in the process of developing goals for the 2006-07 school year. Starting at a meeting on July 20, board members discussed the challenges they expect the district to encounter over the year and what things they would like to see accomplished. The meeting was the first of several before the board sets plans for the new year. An additional retreat meeting is scheduled for Aug. 10, with an additional board meeting to follow on Aug. 14. According to Anita Banach, director of communications and marketing, the Aug. 14 meeting will be an opportunity for the board and administrators to discuss their idea with each other in a public setting.
