School retirees honored

Clarkston Community Schools’ retiring teachers and staff represent about 340 years of service.
‘It will be very difficult to replace you,? said school board President Stephen Hyer at the June 9 board meeting. ‘Thank you for your service.?
Those honored by the Board of Education as they retire from the district include:
Jean Bierlein, third-grade teacher, Independence Elementary, 29 years with the district;
Martha Blehm, custodian, Early Childhood Center/Administration Building, 29 years;
Suzanne Brown, special education paraprofessional, Clarkston Junior High School, 20 years;
Mary Comeau, caf? helper, Clarkston High School, 11 years;
Raymond Cooper, technology instructor, Clarkston Junior High School, 41 years;
Wanda Dodich, cook, Clarkston Junior High School, 13 years;
Lila Fletcher, reading aide, Springfield Plains Elementary, 12 years;
Joyce Morris, cook, Clarkston High School, 30 years;
Nina Nord, media paraprofessional, Sashabaw Middle School, 14 years;
Durelle Pitser, second-grade teacher, North Sashabaw Elementary, 22 years;
Theresa Soloman, science teacher, Clarkston Junior High School, 9 years;
Joan Swartout, second grade teacher, North Sashabaw Elementary, 23 years;
Dennis Templeton, science teacher, Clarkston High School, 35 years;
Walt Wyniemko, social studies teacher, Clarkston High School, 29 years; and
