Search continues for strong-armed robbery suspects

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit and Air 2 unit took part in a search for three robbers at the Orion Lakes Mobile Home Park on Brown Road on Jan. 6, with negative results.
The strong armed robbery occurred on Bluebird Lane, where a 28-year-old man flagged down an OCSD deputy on patrol in the park. He told the deputy he had pulled up in his vehicle, with his wife and two children inside, and got out of the vehicle to get his mail.
Hhe took the keys from the vehicle to unlock his mailbox, and after he got out of the vehicle, he was approached from behind by three black males. One of the men grabbed him from behind and placed him in a bear hug, then threw him to the ground, the victim said.
At that time, the other two men grabbed the man’s wallet, which he said contained $100, a bank card, and a medical insurance card, and he couldn’t remember what else. The victim said he landed on the left shoulder of the snowy road, and the deputy did report seeing a mark there in the snow where the man fell.
The victim had never seen the three men before, and said that they were all wearing dark jackets with the hoods pulled up. The OCSD searched the area, and a K-9 search and helicopter area search did not find the suspects.
