Oakland County Sheriff’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is assisting deputies from Addison Twp. following a single-vehicle accident along Lake George Rd. that sent three juveniles to the hospital during the early morning hours on Monday, July 25.
At approximately 3:50 a.m., sheriff’s deputies from Addison Twp. responded to the scene of a rollover accident along Lake George Rd., just north of Ray Rd.
An unlicensed 15-year-old male driver, from Oxford, was traveling southbound along Lake George Rd. in a 2001 Ford Focus when he lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road and struck a ditch. According to Addison Twp. Fire Chief Jerry Morawski, the car tumbled for about 75 yards after striking the ditch, and lost it’s engine during that time.
The male passenger, 14, was seated in the backseat and was ejected from the vehicle, while the female passenger, 14, was seated in the front seat and was able to get out of the car and call for help from a nearby residence. Both passengers were from Oxford. Meanwhile, the driver was trapped inside the vehicle.
All three occupants were transported by ambulance to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital via the Addison Twp. Fire Department.
