Two Clarkston sisters made a generous donation to Locks of Love on Aug. 12, giving a total of about 24 inches of their beautiful blonde hair.
Emily and Kristina Osterman patiently grew out their hair together. For Emily, age 11, this was her second donation of hair to Locks of Love. Both times, she donated about 13 inches.
When asked if she would donate again, Emily quickly responded, ‘Yes.?
Kristina, inspired by her big sister, eagerly joined Emily to donate about 11 inches herself.
Both girls realize what the donation means to children with medical problems and are very proud. They really like their new shorter hair styles provided by Kristi of Petrusha and Company Hair Salon in Clarkston.
The girls will be sharing their stories and hopefully serving as role models to other children. Both girls attend Lake Orion Schools.
Kristina is entering the fourth grade at Paint Creek Elementary and Emily is starting the sixth grade at Waldon Middle School.
