Brandon Twp. — On April 15, the Owosso Trojans Varsity Girls Softball team swept the Brandon Blackhawks 12-0 in the first game and 17-0 in the second game at Brandon.
In the first game, OHS Hailee Caswell nine strikeouts, 0 walks and gave up one hit. BHS Jaden Williamson had two strikeouts and three walks and gave up 13 hits. In the nightcap, OHS Bella Harris 12 strikeouts, two walks and no hits. BHS Addisen Burgess, one strikeout, seven walks and 14 hits.
“While the Brandon softball team fell to the Trojans in both games of the double header, they worked hard to battle through the challenges that any young team must learn to work through,” said Blackhawk Head Coach Rebecca Rodriguez. “All pitchers, Jaden Williamson, Viv Muehlheim, Addisen Burgess, and Katelyn Wheatcroft, did fantastic jobs in the circle for the Blackhawks. Lilly Muehlheim and Jaden Williamson did great at the plate. Lilly broke up a no-hitter for Owosso, and Jaden reached base twice on walks.”
