Spring and wine

Wine, food and laughter filled the air at the Rotary Club’s ‘Taste of Spring? wine tasting at Oakhurst Golf and Country Club on April 9.
The club raised around $4,000 projects through wine and ticket sales, and raffle items. All money goes to Rotary’s local and international projects.
‘We do things like buy shelter boxes for families who have been displaced by natural disasters. We support a anti-polio drive. We support local charities, local scholarships and we have built some toys in Depot Park,? said Rotary President Bart Clark. ‘We do a lot of local things.?
Clark said the value of the event is twofold.
‘One, it raises money,? he said. ‘Two, it’s really good for the community. It’s something that adds a little spark and life to the beginning of the spring season.?
