Lake Orion Village Council members voted for staggered two and four year terms for future council elections on Nov. 22,
Their decision followed an earlier action by the council to conduct its elections in September in odd-numbered years. To decision to change elections times was mandated by a new state law.
Current members will stay on the council until the next election on Sept. 19, 2005.
