Students learn science at summer Camp Invention

Sashabaw Middle School hosts Camp Invention this summer.
Curriculum for students entering grades 1-6 are taught through a series of hands-on, group activities leading to discovery of science behind their favorite superheroes, tracking down a lost Viking treasure, and building safety devices for vehicles.
Children use ingenuity, trial and error, and tape, aluminum foil, and cardboard to build and create projects. By the end of the week-long, children will have learned about genetic science, laws of motion and gravity, and design techniques.
It will run July 20-24, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Sashabaw Middle School, 5565 Pine Knob Lane, off Maybee Road.
