Lake Orion held its annual Science Fair on Tuesday, May 19. Students submitted 65 projects, which were entered as non-judged (received a participation ribbon) or judged.
The students entering a judged project presented to the judges during a five to 10 minute interview. Projects were scored and compared for first, second, and third place awards, special recognition and participation for each grade level. Students earned points for knowledge, originality and neatness.
Judges are adult volunteers with professional experience in science and education.
Projects were entered for kindergarten through fifth grade and displayed during Paint Creek Elementary’s open house from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening.
