Peter Lawrence Montgomery, a 42-year-old Farmington Hills resident, was arrested in Orion Township Friday afternoon.
He was wanted for 32 counts of criminal sexual misconduct in Prince William County Maryland, according to police reports.
Deputies from the Oakland County Sherrif’s Department’s Orion substation received information that Montegomery was headed to the Big Boy at Baldwin and Brown roads, reports said.
Farmington Hills police and Michigan State Police had been in contact with authorities in Maryland and Virginia regarding Montgomery. The warrants were confirmed by the out-of-state agencies.
Police reports stated that the counts involved child porn, use of communication device with a child and indecent liberties.
OCSD deputies received word that Montegomery was meeting his sister at the restaurant and were dispatched to the location, according to reports.
Montgomery, who was with a 7-year-old nephew, was pulled over in a black Ford Focus and arrested.
He was taken to the Oakland County Jail, reports said.
