The boys? swim & dive finished off their season this past weekend at the Division II MHSAA Swimming and Diving Competition at Oakland University with two personal bests and three new school records.
‘Overall, we finished in 22nd place with 9 points,? said Coach Jacquelyn Rank. ‘Four of the team points were from Jarred Butler’s 200 Freestyle and the other five came from Jarred Butler’s 100 Freestyle.?
‘Jarred Butler finished his high school career with a 12th and a 13th place finish in his two individual events,? Rank added. ‘It was a very fast state meet, but I am confident that my boys gave it their all and did the best they could.?
Results include: 200 Medley Relay: Cheyne Stresky, Erick Vandecar, Armando Vega, and Blake Hibdon finished in 37th place with a time of 1:47.55. 200 Freestyle: Jarred Butler took 13th place with a time of 1:44.77. 200 Individual Medley: Erick Vandecar finished in 26th place with a new school record of 2:05.30.
100 Freestyle: Jarred Butler finished in 12th place with a time of 48.14.
500 Freestyle: Cheyne Stresky took 21st place with a personal best time of 4:55.65.
200 Freestyle Relay: Blake Hibdon, Corey Jones, Erick Vandecar, and Blake Hibdon finished in 29th place with a new school record of 1:32.89. Blake Hibdon’s lead-off 50 freestyle of 23.07 was a personal best time.
100 Backstroke: Cheyne Stresky took 38th place with a time of 58.04.
400 Freestyle Relay: Cheyne Stresky, Blake Hibdon, Erick Vandecar, and Jarred Butler took 20th place with a new school record time of 3:22.16.
