The Clarkston boys? swimming team was defeated by Berkley on Jan. 8, 109-77, as diving stars Rob Johnson and Greyson LaHousse of Clarkston finished 1-2 in diving competition.
Results of the Clarkston-Berkley meet are as follows:
Event 1: Clarkston finished second and fourth in the Boys? 200 Yard Medley Relay, with Andrew Riegel (junior), Mike Nelson (soph), Nick Riegel (sr.) and Ryan Kurrie (soph) finishing second, and the foursome of Josh Badgerow (soph), Jim Peers (soph), Keith Voorheis (soph) and Evan McKenzie (soph) winding up in fourth place.
Event 2: Andrew Riegel finished first in the 200 Yard Freestyle, with Matt Inch finishing fifth and John Wilson coming in sixth.
Event 3: Nick Riegel finished second, five seconds behind the winner, while Mike Nelson finished fourth
Event 4: Ryan Kurrie finished second in the 50 Yard Freestyle, while Evan McKenzie wound up in fifth place and Brian Miller finished sixth
Event 5: Boys? l meter diving competition was dominated by Clarkston’s Rob Johnson and Greyson LaHousse
Event 6: Nick Riegel finished second, Josh Badgerow placed fifth, and Keith Voorheis finished sixth in the 100 Yard Butterfly.
Event 7: Ryan Kurrie finished third in the 100 Yard Freestyle competition, with Brian Miller finishing fifth, Evan McKenzie sixth, and John Wilson seventh
Event 8: In the Boys? 500 Yard Freestyle, Andrew Riegel finished second, Jim Peers finished fourth, and Billy Petrusha finished sixth
Event 9: The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay saw the foursome of Mike Nelson, Greyson LaHousse, Bryan MIller, and Evan McKenzie finish second, while the quartet of Matt Inch, Andy Baker, Billy Petrusha, and John Wilson finished fourth
Event 10: Keith Voorheis of Clarkston finished second and Andy Baker finished fourth in the 100 Yard Backstroke
Event 11: Mike Nelson of Clarkston won the 100 Yard Breaststroke, while Jim Peers finished third and Matt Inch finished in a tie for third.
Event 12: The quartet of Nick Riegel, Andrew Riegel, Keith Voorheis, and Ryan Kurrie finished first in the Boys? 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
A Clarkston team also finished third. The team included Josh Badgerow, Brian Miller, Jim Peers, and Matt Inch.
