In the final dual meet of the season, the Wildcat swimmers sunk in a crossover match-up against the Lake Orion Dragons 190-124.
‘We ran all eight lanes for points with first place taking in eight points, second place taking six points, third received five points, on down to seventh place which received one point,? explained Head Coach Jackie Rank. ‘The top three relays were given 10, five, or three points based on order of finish, with no team taking more than two of the top three relay spots.?
200 Medley Relay: Lake Orion’s A Relay of Womack, Nowicki, Lindquist, and Lazzarra finished 1st with a time of 1:44.57. Oxford’s A Relay of Stresky, Vega, Terry, and Scribner took second with a season-best time of 1:46.78. 200 Freestyle: Lake Orion’s Devon Nowicki took first with a time of 1:44.98. Oxford’s Armando Vega came in third with a time of 2:02.25. Oxford’s Jake Tasch and Spencer Adamczyk finished in fifth and seventh respectively. 200 Individual Medley: Oxford’s Cheyne Stresky came in first with a personal-best time of 2:06.76.
50 Freestyle: Oxford’s Sean Terry came in first with a time of 22.91.
Diving: Oxford’s Jared Tasch came in 1st with a score of 252.70. Oxford’s Brandon Barrows took third place. 100 Butterfly: Lake Orion’s Tim Seeds came in first with a time of 58.52. Oxford’s Chad Scribner came in third with a time of 1:01.90. Oxford’s Jonah Grove and Tyler Stresky finished in fifth and 6th place respectively. 100 Freestyle: Oxford’s Sean Terry took first with a time of 50.35.
500 Freestyle: Lake Orion’s Kevin Huang came in first with a time of 5:22.10. Oxford’s Armando Vega finished in 2nd with a time of 5:36.86. Oxford’s Spencer Adamczyk and Bradlee Weltyk finished in 5th and 6th place respectively. 200 Freestyle Relay: Lake Orion’s A Relay of Ciora, Lazzara, Seeds, and Seeds took 1st with a time of 1:38.45. Oxford’s A Relay of Tasch, Scribner, Tasch, and Scribner took 2nd with a time of 1:40.89.
100 Backstroke: Lake Orion’s Devon Nowicki took 1st with a time of 54.11. Oxford’s Cheyne Stresky came in second with a time of 56.12.
100 Breaststroke: Lake Orion’s Zac Seeds came in first with a time of 1:08.58. Oxford’s Chad Scribner took third with a time of 1:12.78. Oxford’s Jonah Grove, Travis Butler, and Chance LeBlanc finished in fourth through seventh place respectively. 400 Freestyle Relay: Lake orion’s A Relay of Seeds, Ciora, Nowicki, and Robertson came in 1st with a time of 3:27.22. Oxford’s A Relay of Terry, Tasch, Vega, and Stresky came in second with a time of 3:31.89.
League meets will occur on February 25-27.
