‘Our goal is anything you can do at one of our branches, you can also do on-line from your home or work computer,? Bone said. ‘You can literally join the credit union over the Internet. You don’t even have to come into one of our offices.?
Even loans can be done on-line with T&C Federal Credit Union. The only thing the customer has to do is pick what type of loan they need.
Loans can be taken out for mortgages, home improvements, automobiles, recreational vehicles, boats, airplanes, construction, vacation properties, investment properties and small businesses.
‘Mortgages can be taken out with as little as three percent down,? Bone noted.
Joining T&C Federal Credit Union gives members access to more than 20,000 no-surcharge ATMs nationwide, 1,800 of which are in Michigan.

In January 2005, T&C Federal Credit Union opened a brand new 7,000-square-foot branch at 7357 Deer Lake Road in Clarkston.
‘It’s a beautiful new branch offering our full line of services including drive-through tellers and drive-up ATM,? Bone said, noting T&C had previously served Clarkston for 10 years from a strip-mall location.
In Oxford, T&C Federal Credit Union just recently opened a new 3,200-square-foot, full service branch at 168 S. Washington St. inside the Oxford Marketplace.
Bone said the Oxford branch is ‘unique? in that the lobby area features a giant photograph of downtown Oxford that completely covers one of the walls.
‘We want to make people feel they’re at home. That we’re a real part of their community,? Bone said.
Although the Oxford branch does not have drive-through tellers, it will feature a drive-up ATM in the parking lot later this spring.
When asked what separates T&C Federal Credit Union from other financial institutions, Bone replied, ‘Personal service. That personal touch.?
‘We always try to do what’s in our members? best interests,? he said. ‘If we see a large amount of money in a savings account, we will suggest to the member that he or she move it to a high yield account or a certificate, somewhere they can earn more interest.?
