Swan For Life Cancer Foundation hosts an Afternoon Tea in honor of Breast Cancer Survivor Month, 1 p.m., Oct. 1, at Great Lakes Cancer Institute, 5680 Bow Point Drive.
Over 300 breast cancer survivors have been invited to attend. Many local businesses will decorate tables to promote breast cancer awareness. The event is free and open to all.
Agenda includes Tour of the Garden of Healing and Renewal, 1:15-1:30 p.m.; Tea and Luncheon, 1:30-2 p.m.; Keynote Speakers including a breast cancer survivor, Dr. Farid Fata, M.D., F.A.C.P., and Angela Andary, executive director, 2-2:45 p.m.
Swan For Life Cancer Foundation is a non-profit group by Dr. Fata, hematologist and oncologist, in early 2010.?
The foundation provides free support groups and educational programs to the cancer community in Clarkston as well as many others cancer patients, caregivers and family members’in Northern Oakland County.? It also has a location at Crittenton Cancer Center, Rochester Hill.
