Tea Party Patriots candidate forum

Independent Tea Party Patriots (ITPP) will hosts an open candidate forum, with Mike Bouchard, GOP Candidate for governor, followed by a debate between five Republican candidates seeking the 12th District state senate seat.
The event, open to the public, is at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, at Fountains Golf and Banquet Center, 6060 Maybee Road.
‘We want to inform citizens about the issues and positions of the candidates involved in the upcoming August 3rd primary election,? said ITPP organizer Kevin Chase of Clarkston.
Candidates include Oakland County Clerk Ruth Johnson, candidate for Michigan Secretary of State; and Rick Gutowski and state Rep. Eileen Kowall, both candidates for state representative for the 44th District, which includes Independence, Highland, Springfield and White Lake townships.
Each candidate will have 20 minutes to outline their qualifications and positions on key issues facing the state.
Following the forum, Chase will moderate a debate among five GOP candidates for the 12th District state senate seat: John Garfield, Jim Marleau, Copper Rizzo, Kim Russell and Gene Taliercio.
