Eleven Clarskton teachers have been recalled from layoff, as the Board of Education finalizes the 2008-2009 school budget.
The board is set to approve the district’s $76 million budget at its June 23 meeting, set for 7 p.m. at the school Administration Building, 6389 Clarkston Road.
Forty teachers were laid off April 22, from whom 11.4 full-time positions will be eliminated, cutting about $457,000 from the budget.
Further recalls will depend on state funding and enrollment, said Linda Nester, executive director for Human Resources, at the June 9 meeting.
