Teen in custody after robbery

A 17-year-old Pontiac boy was taken into custody by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department on Aug. 17, shortly after an employee said he robbed the Sunoco Gas Station on Joslyn Road.
According to the OCSD, the incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m., when the suspect entered the store, brandishing a silver-plated, .45 caliber pistol and demanding money.
The store clerk complied by removing $100 from the cash register. The suspect then fled the scene in a brown pick-up truck with a broken rear window.
The store clerk was able to identify the boy by name, and said he was a former patron.
The OCSD apprehended him without incident at an address in Pontiac.
