Teen nominated for citation for honesty

He could have kept the money, but he didn’t.
A 13-year-old Springfield Township boy has been nominated for a citizen’s citation from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department for turning in a wallet found near a local business on Jan. 17.
The wallet contained $117 (‘which the victim could really use,? reports said) and identification which could have been used in identity theft.
After finding the wallet, the teen gave it to his father, a police officer in another community.
Reports said the owner of the wallet, a Holly woman, was happy to have it returned.
