Thanks Bill

It’s time to retire
It was a surprise. Bill Waldo (left), who is retiring as an Orion Township Fire Department District Chief, wanted the occasion to be low key. That didn’t happen. His work with the fire department was recently acknowledged at the Firefighters Ball. Waldo, a firefighter for 28 years, has been a district chief for 18 years. He received his helmet in a case, his firefighter’s coat and boots from Orion Fire Department’s Bob Smith(right) All of the firefighters in the township chipped in to give him two round trips to Florida. Waldo will continue to stay on as a firefighter until his license expires in a year and a half.
