The Dragons Varsity Football team displayed awesome talent all season, but the LO Bengals and the LO Chargers are hot on their heels.
The two teams battled against each other for the Michigan Youth Flag Football Association State Championship last Sunday in the 2nd/3rd grade division.
Of the 20 teams from across the state who competed, the two Lake Orion teams faced each other for the trophy.
The tournament ended with a victory for the Stadium Drive Elementary Chargers, who went undefeated throughout their regular season.
The tournament was held at Walled Lake Northern HS. The Chargers played Saturday and Sunday, and gave up only six points in seven games to take the trophy.
