Thomas George Shahin of Ortonville; passed away May 7, 2017. 

He was 26. 

Born September 9, 1990 in Pontiac, Michigan to Andrew and Tami (Warner) Shahin.  Proud father of Jessie; loving brother of Amber and Aaron; beloved son of Andrew and Tami; grandson of Audrey and the late George Shahin and the late Barbara Warner; also survived by many aunts, uncles and loving cousins.  Thomas was a 2009 graduate of Brandon High School and the OSTC program.  He was employed in the insulation trades.  He loved his country, the Red Wings and country music.  Thomas was an avid disc golfer and was a member of the Discnutz and the Flint Town Flyers disc golf leagues.  He played many years of youth hockey in Lapeer and also worked as a referee for youth programs.  Thomas was a cancer survivor.  Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Village Funeral Home 135 South St., Ortonville.  Interment will follow at Ortonville Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for Thomas’s son.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.    To send a condolence to the family go to www.villagefh.com
