Fentron — IPA, amber, pilsner, sour, sweet, dry — if these words mean something to you, chances are you’re a craft beer or wine fan. If that’s the case get your tickets now for the sixth annual Bottles, Brews & News set for Saturday, Sept. 21 in downtown Fenton.
“Fenton is just a short drive away for a day of fun and fundraising,” said Emily Caswell, brand manager of the View Newspaper Group. “Guests will enjoy live music, free pizza and ice cream and sample from more than 100 different craft beers, wines and hard seltzers.”
The popular beer and wine fest, hosted by View Newspaper Group, parent company of The Citizen, is set for 2 to 7 p.m. at Rackham Park behind the Fenton Community and Cultural Center.
Proceeds from Bottles, Brews & News go to Fenton Area Resources and Referral Network, Inc. (FARR), a nonprofit organization that helps people in need.
In just five years, Bottles, Brews & News has raised more than $28,000 for FARR.
For more than a decade, the team at View Newspaper Group has hosted community events as a way to connect the community and raise funds for area nonprofits. In 11 years more than $240,000 has been raised through these signature events for area organizations.
“We love hosting events and are humbled by the support of our sponsors, volunteers and attendees, who have helped us give back in such a huge way,” said Caswell. “Help us continue that tradition and join us on Sept. 21 for a day of fun, delicious drink samples and good times.”
