Too much water pressure

Fighting a fire for 12 hours had unpleasant side effects for some residents in the village.
Because of the downtown fire, the Detroit Water System increased the water pressure to the village to help out the fire department.
The increased water flow caused water main breaks on Bellevue, Central and Summer.
According to Marlene Briggs at the village hall, two homeowners experienced leaks and Heritage Place was having problems with blowing gaskets on its boiler system.
‘There was difficulty in getting the pressure back down,? Briggs said.
