The Orion Township Board of Trustees approved a pair of text amendments to their Zoning Ordinance at their Oct. 1 meeting.
The first clarifies procedures and standards for special land uses and the second requires proper signage for certain requests.
‘What this text amendment does is require that anybody who applies through the township for rezoning, a planed unit development or special land use is now going to be required to place a good-sized sign on their property that says ‘this property is proposed for rezoning,? with a number to call for more information,? said Trustee John Steimel, also a member of the Planning Commission.
The two amendments were published in last week’s Review.
