Oxford Township officials last week voted 3-1 to approve a revised contract for fire/EMS dispatching by the Oxford Village Police Dispatch Center.
Trustee Charles Kniffen cast the lone ‘no’ vote.
Under the five-year contract, the Oxford Public Fire and EMS Commission would pay $50,400 for dispatch services in 2004 with annual 3 percent increases thereafter.
The township and village would split the cost with the township paying $41,837 (83.01 perccent) and the village $8,563 (16.99 percent) for this year.
The contract is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2004.
