Orion Township will be picking up the tab for the construction of sidewalks along Orion Road, from Atwater north to Flint Street, and along Atwater, from Orion Road west to the existing sidewalk.
The township board authorized the use of safety path funds to pay for the project, as the sidewalks will benefit township residents, although they will be located in the Village of Lake Orion. The village council approved the agreement at their April 24 meeting.
