Beginning next week, all of Oxford Township’s government meetings will be held at the municipality’s office located at 300 Dunlap Rd., just north of Seymour Lake Rd.
That’s because the new 2,350-square-foot meeting room is complete. It’s capable of accommodating 100 audience members,
As a result, township-related meetings will no longer be held at the Oxford Veterans Memorial Civic Center. This includes township board, planning commission, zoning board of appeals and various committees.
‘Everything will be done under one roof from now on,? said township Supervisor Bill Dunn. ‘You can go to meetings in the same place you pay your taxes.?
The 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 township Board of Trustees meeting is the first one scheduled for the new room.
On Monday, members of the Oxford Fire Department donated their time and labor by unloading and setting up the new chairs.
‘I really want to thank the firefighters and the chief for their help,? Dunn said. ‘They saved the township some time and money, and we appreciate it.?
