Track teams split wins

The Lake Orion boys and girls track and field teams split wins with Southfield on April 26; with Dragon girls winning, 72-56; and the Orion boys losing, 65.5-62.5. For the girls, Alex Hartley set a school record in the shot put (38-2 1/2), and also won the discus event.
Alicia Hartley took the 300 hurdles (48.5), and was part of two winning relay teams: 800 relay team, winning with a time of 1:58.34 (with Suzanne Rose, Lauren Rose and Cara Booker); and the 1600 relay team, winning with 4:22.43 (with Courtney Kimmell, Blaire James and Jessica Hutchison). The Lake Orion 400 relay team (Lauren Rose, Suzanne Rose, Booker and Kimmell) also won with 54.9. Kat Kline took the 800 run (2:35.87), and Sara Lieblein won the 3200 run (11:50).
For the boys, JP Findlay took the long jump, and Ryan Allison won the 110 hurdles (14.96), and the 300 hurdles (40.37).
Billy Peterson won the 1600 run (4:40) and the 800 run (2:04.31), while Rob Shinouskis took the 3200 (10:12.54).
