Last Saturday the Lake Orion High School wrestling team competed in regionals at Oxford High School.
Five wrestlers qualified for regionals by placing at districts the previous week.
Daltan Myers, a freshman wrestling at 103 lbs placed fourth. John Moll, a sophomore wrestling at 112 lbs placed third. Anthony Orselli, a junior wrestling at 160 lbs, placed third.
Logan Shadaia, a senior wrestling at 215 lbs won the district title while Brendan Thompson, a junior wrestling at 285 lbs, placed third at districts.
In regional action, Anthony Orselli narrowly missed qualifying for the state tournament losing 2-1 in a bloodround match.
Shadaia and Thompson came through and qualified for states placing third and second respectively at the regionals.
They will compete at the State Finals at the Palace of Auburn Hills March 7th – 9th.
