The Orion Township Board of Trustees approved spending an additional $1,500 to supplement their grant application for the Civic Center Park Amphitheater.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources provided recommendations for supplemental materials to improve the township’s application.
Those materials must be submitted by Oct. 1, and the township approved spending $1,500 to have Carlisle/Wortman Associates assist in the process.
The township is requesting an amount of $161,700, up from the $100,000 originally anticipated.
