Owner Chris Lingenfelter, in business for over three years at 2459 S. Lapeer Road, bought out Ken’s Vacuum, which was in business in Lake Orion for over 20 years. Lingenfelter changed the name and moved the store to the shopping plaza on Lapeer Road, between Scripps and Greenshield.
Vacuum Works carries everything from vacuum cleaners to steam cleaners to sewing machines. The store also sells air purifiers. The service department at Vacuum Works services all makes and models of vacuum cleaners and sewing machines.
Vacuum Works offers free estimates and stock a huge inventory of vacuum cleaner bags, belts, filters and accessories, and guarantees their prices on everything.
Vacuum Works offers a knowledgable sales staff, with Lingenfelter himself having 18 years of experience working with other vacuum companies prior to opening his own business.
“We’re competitively priced…everything’s on sale everyday,” he says. “Right now we have a lot of winter clearance. We guarantee our prices.”
Lingenfelter says Vacuum Works has models that range in price from $40 to $1,000, depending on the needs of the customer. Vacuum Works serves both commercial and residential customers.
The store has a selection of carpet cleaning products, steam cleaning solutions, floor scrubbers and buffers.
“We also offer free, extended warranties, and we carry models you can’t find elsewhere because we are a factory authorized dealer,” says Lingenfelter.
