Varsity Baseball falls on first playoff game

The Lake Orion Varsity Boys? Baseball team finished their season and their playoff run last week.
While the season ended on a high note with a win over Troy-Athens, 6-2, on May 28, their playoff run was cut short with a loss to Adams, 12-9.
Head Coach Andy Schramek said he was not happy with the loss, adding he felt the team should have won the game. Lake Orion was winning the game initially, but in the fifth inning, Adams took the lead.
Despite the loss, Schramek said he’s happy with his team’s season performance, and looks forward to what they can do next year.
‘We have a huge future in front of us, and we have some real strength from the sophomore and junior classes, not to mention some talented freshmen,? said Schramek. ‘I couldn’t ask much more from our seniors. They were hard workers, committed, great people, excellent students, and I think they represented the senior class at our school very well.?
The team ended their regular season with a record of 25-7. The game against Adams was their first and last in the playoffs.
