All veterans are invited to participate in this year’s Independence Township Fourth of July Festival of Fun and Fireworks.
Clintonwood Park’s Carriage House is converted into a military museum for the July 4 festival, providing a place for vets to get together, display mementos, and answer questions from the public. Collectors and restorers also display their military vehicles in the parking lot.
The museum opens after the Fourth of July parade through downtown Clarkston. Participating veterans get free parking and lunch.
