Goodrich – While countless questions have surfaced regarding the question of dissolving Village of Goodrich government, many residents want better answers.
In an attempt to get authoritative information The Citizen is organizing a forum, ‘The Effects of Village Dissolution? from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Goodrich United Methodist Church, located at 8071 S. State Road in Goodrich.
Although Atlas Township officials have declined to publicly answer questions on the forum panel, representatives from the Village of Goodrich and the Michigan Municipal League have agreed to participate.
Michael J. Thorp’known in the area as president of the Goodrich Board of Education and a news anchor for ABC12 news’has agreed to voluntarily moderate the forum.
The forum is open to all residents of Goodrich and Atlas Township, and is being held at no charge.
Questions for the forum panel should be submitted by Feb. 5 in writing by e-mail to citnews@charterinternet.com.
