Oxford Township officials last week tabled voting on a revised contract for fire/EMS dispatching from the village because they lacked a copy of it.
Officials were expected to vote on the revised contract, which was approved by the village council Jan. 13.
Trustee Jerry Dywasuk said he would prefer to read the contract before voting on it.
Supervisor Bill Dunn apologized for forgetting to bring a copy with him for the board to review.
Under the proposed, revised contract, the Oxford Public Fire and EMS Commission would pay $50,400 for dispatch in 2004 with annual 3 percent increases thereafter. The township and village would split the cost with the township paying $41,837 and the village $8,563.
If approved by the township, the contract would be retroactive to Jan. 1, 2004.
