Each member of Team RUSH surrounded one of the eight cardboard boats on Deer Lake Beach as they made last minute changes on Saturday.
By noon the boats were ready for the annual RUSH Regatta. A few boats sunk just past the start line while others stayed afloat.
The winner for 2012 race on the water was Team 5 ? creators of the cardboard Viking ship.
