The hallways and classrooms of Oxford Elementary School were lined with famous folks Monday evening as the fifth-graders became part of an interactive wax museum.
The portrayed both historical figures and individuals well-known in popular culture.
Who am I?
Oxford Elementary fifth-graders dressed up as prominent personalities and posed as living wax statues as part of a lesson on how people respond to conflict in different ways.
The students had to choose one person from history, or even present day, who has dealt with conflict.
They had to explain that person’s perspective, the other side’s perspective, demonstrate their role in the conflict and present the outcome to their fellow students.
Figures included such giants of history as Gandhi, Anne Frank, General Robert E. Lee, Harriett Tubman and President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
