Who’s going to take responsibility?
In the last month the township has had two rollovers on Ray Road. No statistics on the close calls. No statistics on damaged vehicles.
Some drive slow so as not to ‘beat the bolts? from their transportation while some go zipping past not caring about those around them. Pot hole infested, dirt, blind hill, 55mph.
You could say ‘it’s an accident waiting to happen? but you would be too late.
It’s happening!!
When is someone in the township going to step-up and take responsibility for the deplorable condition of safety on Ray Road?
Hopefully one of the newly elected trustees will step up and take on this vital project.
The old regime led by Dunn doesn’t have a clue. They are the people who brought you the ‘cart before the horse? water tower that is in debt, the two million dollar township hall that the citizens still can’t hold meetings in (a real joke).
I’m talking about only a half mile stretch of concrete.
Oxford High School? The gathering point of our young citizens and whose taxpayer’s busses get shaken apart twice a day. The gravel pit? That run 11 axel, 42 tire trucks up and down the road. Meijers? The retail establishment benefiting from the ‘east gateway? for added profits?
Now you’re going to hear from Dunn that it’s the county or state responsibility or that we don’t have the money for our share. (It’s called priorities, Mr. Dunn.)
Or Sue Bellairs whine about who’s running for what seat. (Time for her to move on also). Or from the school board that the money crunch is such that taking funds away from the sports or drama program would be detrimental to our students. You won’t hear from Meijer who escaped the planning commission and township from the inception to contribute a share when they built the store. You won’t hear from the (gravel) Pit but I would be willing to bet that the Pit would provide aggregate at cost for this project as it would surely benefit them. (Has anyone asked?)
The High School has signs leaving the parking lot in memory of Jill Milosch.
A beautiful life that was taken in an auto accident.
Does the school have another parking lot that needs signs? Who’s going to take responsibility?
That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.
