Ayres, William D. of Clarkston lost his two-year battle with pancreatic cancer early Sunday morning, February 24, 2019 at 68 years of age.

Loving husband of Sheril for 35 years; dear father of Charles Ayres, Naomi Bratton, Cassandra (Christian) Preston, Aimee (Jason) Ayres, and Sarah Ayres; Grandfather of 6, Great grandfather of 2. William worked at ED&C, thereafter leaving to pursue his long awaited passion of obtaining his own electrical license. William was always there to lend a helping hand to family, neighbor, or stranger. A memorial service will be held at Sashabaw Meadows Clubhouse, 4359 Dogwood Blvd 48348, March 23, 2019 from 1-3 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family are being accepted.
