Goalie junior Katie Miller added her fourth shutout for the season last Thursday against West Bloomfield.
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Soccer team beat the Lady Lakers, 3-0.
Junior Lindsey Renkiewicz was the first to score for the Lady Wolves less than eight minutes into the game off a pass from senior Caitlin Kirby.
Clarkston struck again ten minutes later with another goal. West Bloomfield held control of the ball in the Lady Wolves’ turf. Clarkston turned it around as senior Andrea Dumais closed in on the net and made her shot. Senior Sarah McCallum assisted on the goal.
During the second half, freshman Alexis Shamoun scored the final goal with an assist from senior Lindsey Adams.
Miller had four saves during the night as the Lady Wolves improved to 4-3-1, 4-1-1 OAA White.
The Lady Wolves host Youth Soccer Night on Thursday when they play Andover.
“They are really excited,” said Sarah Wasilk, head varsity coach. “They like youth soccer night. I think it really shows them how much the kids look up to them. It is good for the community. It is good for the younger girls. It is good for our girls to see how much they are appreciated.”
Admission is free for kids wearing soccer jerseys. Kids can also win a free hot dog during the Soccer Shootout during half-time.
JV begins at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.
