In their opening match of the season on Dec. 20, Clarkston’s swim team had their moments against Rochester High but in the end succumbed 96-90.
Leading the way for the Wolves was the all-senior relay team of Joshua Badgerow, Mike Nelson, Ryan Kurrle and John Wilson, who took first place in both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
Badgerow was assuredly the Wolves rock throughout the meet, also winning the individual 200 and 100 freestyle events.
Some other Wolves scoring points were: sophomore Greg Dedow (1st place: 100 backstroke) freshman Bobby Nelson (2nd: 200 IM and 100 backstroke), Mike Nelson (2nd: 100 backstroke) and the team of Bobby Nelson, senior Jim Peers, senior Evan McKenzie and sophomore Philip Voorheis (2nd: 400 freestyle relay).
The Wolves swim next on Jan. 5 at Troy Athens.
