The Boys Swim team headed into holiday break on a positive note.
They opened their season against West Bloomfield on Dec. 9 with a 107-78 win.
They won ten of the 12 events during their victory.
‘It’s a good way to start the season,? said Coach Kenwyn Chock. ‘We are in a strong division this year. This meet will help us keep our focus on the rest of the season.?
Zach Rabideau and Ken Stelpflug won two events each to help set the pace against the Lakers.
Steven Nelson, Kyle Inch and Isaac Young also won events for the Wolves. All three relays were won by Clarkston.
Inch set his personal best times in the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle and in the relays. His teammates Patrick Bemis and Landon Holloway also hit personal bests.
Freshman Joe Zendejas scored 175.85 points in his first diving competition.
The Wolves gave state contenders Birmingham Seaholm a run in their meet last Thursday. The boys placed first in five events. They lost, 124-61.
Stelpflug took first in 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle. Nelson won the 100-yard backstroke, Rabideau in 100-yard butterfly and Zendejas led in diving.
The Wolves head to Troy for their next meet on Jan. 6. They begin at 6:30 p.m.
