Woman says brother stole her identity

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of identity theft on Chestnut Circle on Dec. 16.
According to an OCSD report, a 52 year old woman reported that her brother, a 40 year old Kentucky man, had stolen personal information from her.
The woman said her brother obtained a personal check in the amount of $743 from her account via the internet.
The woman reported that her brother is using an address where he does not live.
She said he also has a criminal history and an outstanding warrant against him in Kentucky.
The woman was alerted of the fraud by the Internet Wire Complaint Bureau and was advised to make a formal report.
